Following the magnificent victory over the Republic of Korea to secure the bronze medal at the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory letter to the coaching staff and the entire squad of Viet Nam on the morning of January 24.

The victory sent Vietnam U23 through to the quarterfinals as the Group A winner at AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026.

With this victory, Vietnam finished at the top of Group C with nine points, officially securing a place in the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026 Finals, scheduled for January 2026.
